Common questions first — if none of these help, email us and we will reply.

My prayer times look wrong.

Open Settings → Calculation Method and pick the convention your local mosque follows (Karachi, ISNA, MWL, Umm al-Qura and others are supported). Also confirm the app has location permission and that your device time zone is correct.

The Qibla compass keeps moving.

The compass uses your device magnetometer, which is affected by metal, magnets and phone cases. Move away from electronics and calibrate by moving the phone in a figure-of-eight. Some devices have no magnetometer at all — on those the compass cannot work.

I am not getting Azan notifications.

Android battery optimisation is the usual cause. Go to Settings → Apps → Muslim 313 → Battery and choose Unrestricted, then make sure notifications are enabled both in the app and in Android settings. On Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo and Realme devices you may also need to enable Autostart.

A PDF will not open or download.

Library PDFs are hosted on archive.org and need an internet connection the first time. If one fails, check your connection and try again — archive.org is occasionally slow. Downloaded files are kept on your device for offline reading.

Can I use the app without location permission?

Yes. Decline the permission and set your city manually. Prayer times and Qibla will be calculated from that city instead.

Does the app work offline?

Quran reading, tasbeeh, saved duas and previously downloaded PDFs all work offline. Prayer times work offline once your location is set. The library needs a connection to fetch new books.

How do I request a book for the library?

Email us the title and, if you have it, the archive.org link. We add requested texts regularly.

Still stuck?

Use the contact form, or email mahad.ul.ghani.al.islami@gmail.com — and include your device model, Android version and app version (Settings → About). That detail is what lets us reproduce a problem quickly.
